Spring Fling Vox Box

I received another Vox Box from Influenster a few weeks ago.  They send me items to review ... so here I go:

Nivea Skin Firming Lotion:  I love how this lotion makes my legs feel, although ~ I can't say I see any difference in how my skin looks.  However, I will continue to use it!

Playtex Sports Tampons:  Since I am unable to use tampons, I can't review this item.  I will be giving them to someone who can use them though.

Labor Day Peach Pie Air Freshener: I was disappointed when I opened the package ... it didn't have any smell to it.  I still haven't watched the movie ... but it's on my list!

 Kiss everlasting French:  These nails are good quality.  I keep waiting for a special occasion to try these out ... I am just going to have to break down and give them a try ~ just to have pretty nails!!!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara: I usually do not see much of a difference when I put on mascara ... this definitely makes my eyelashes flare out making them look great!  It will be perfect on the rare date nights with my husband!!

I was disappointed to not get the Soft Lips Cube ... I can't wait to read some reviews to help me decide if I want to pick one up myself!!

I don't get enough ~ time with friends.  A few hours a month with some of my friends just doesn't seem like enough time.  I'm talking hours of deep down, nitty gritty talk about anything and everything!!

My favorite indulgence ~ right now it is Shaken Iced Tea (sweetened) from Starbucks.  It is just the perfect blend of tea and sugar.  I really want to go get one right now!!!!

I made a major life change in my life when ~ well ... I see that I have done that twice now.  The first was when Ron and I got married and I moved to Texas.  I left my family and everything I ever knew back in Ohio, moved to the middle of Texas near an Army base with my new husband.  Holly smokes!!  

The second time was when I left my job when our daughter was born and never went back to a job outside the home.  If you've done it ... you know exactly what I'm talking about!!

You should read ~ anything by Sarah Jio.  A friend told me about her first book ~ then another friend was able to interview her!!  Sweet!!!  Her books have a little bit of everything ...  mystery, romance and intrigue.  I love them!!

Love is my secret ingredient ~  I know it sounds stupid ... but I believe it to be true!!!  If I'm fixing supper or anything ... just because I have to ~ it doesn't taste the same as if I am completely into what I'm fixing for us.  Without the love, things just don't turn out the same ... cookies may be flat or burnt ... soup isn't as comforting.  It's weird, but true!!

J'Adore VoxBox

Several weeks ago I received the J'Adore Vox Box from Influenster.  I received this box of goodies to test complements of Influentster.

This box contained:


Hershey Kisses: A family sized bag!!  I made peanut blossoms for the family and shared some with a friend in the hospital.  The remaining ones went in a basket to grab when we needed a little something chocolate.  They are just the right size to satisfy any chocolate craving I may have during the day.


John Freda Frizz Ease:  I wish I didn't have to use the flat iron for this product to work properly.  I also didn't read the instructions beforehand and had already blow dried my hair ~ it should be applied to wet hair only.  I will eventually get around to testing this product.

KISS Lashes:  I love the idea of natural looking, fake lashes.  I, however, failed at being able to put these on without looking like I had on fake lashes.  After 10 minutes of being frustrated, I gave up.  I will give these another try soon.

Vaseline Men's Spray Lotion: Finally! Something for my main squeeze to try!  He loved how easy it was to apply and how it absorbed into his skin.  The smell is nice also, not too overpowering.  This is definitely a keeper!!

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask:  I'm glad I didn't make my first attempt at this mask my last.  The first time it poured out of the tube and made a mess all over my hands, countertop and sink.  The instructions say nothing about shaking the tube, but I highly recommend it.  I didn't realize it would be so watery.  That being said ~ I tried again ~ shaking the tube first!  It came out in a nice "blob" and I was able to apply it to my face.  It dries fairly quickly and it is hard!  It comes off easily with warm water and a wash cloth.  My face feels refreshed afterwards.  It is another product that I will continue to use.

Red Rose tea bags:  Since I don't drink coffee, I am a sucker for a mug of hot tea.  These tea bags couldn't have come at a better time.  This winter has been brutal.  I received Creme Caramel and Lemon Chiffon from the Simply Indulgent line.  The caramel is wonderful.  It has just a hint of caramel flavor ... not too strong and not too sweet.  It is also good cold ~ as I often put my mug of tea down to do something and come back an hour later!!  I will be looking for these at my local grocery!

Trying it out .... "Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask #powerofplants"

I received the Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask from Influentser a few weeks ago.  I'm just now getting a chance to try it out ... for the second time :)

The first time I gave it a go ... the product came pouring out of the tube and I had a mess everywhere.  I didn't realize that I needed to shake it up to get the water mixed into the mask.  I was able to get some on my face and I was pleased with  how my skin felt after I washed it off.

This time ... learning from my first go around ... I shook up the tube and the mask came out just right!  I smeared it on my face ... careful not to get it close to my eyes.  It hardens quickly ~ you don't want to be making any important calls while you are waiting :)

It washes off easily and makes your skin soft ... It is refreshing and much cheaper than heading to your local spa to have a facial.  All I need is a few minutes after dropping Kiddo off at school and I'm good to go!!

I did it!

I can't believe I am posting this out there ... but I did it!  I had  breast reduction surgery 4 days ago.  Recovery has been a little rough ... but everything is going well.  I can't wait to see the finished product ... not bruised and no sutures ... it is going to be amazing!
